Over 48.1: SIX! INDIA ARE THROUGH TO THE FINAL OF THE ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025! KL Rahul hits the glory shot and the celebrations start in the Indian dressing room. Glenn Maxwell darts it in, fuller and on the middle and leg stump line. KL Rahul shimmies down a bit and lofts it over cow corner for a cracking six. Hits it clean as a whistle and clears the ropes with ease to get his team over the line.

Over 47.5: OUT! GONE! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! Ellis bowls it fuller again, and gets the ball to jag back in a touch, around middle and leg. Hardik Pandya tries to kill the game with the glory shot, but ends up mistiming it badly. Hits straight in the air, but the connection is off the toe-end, hence, he doesn't quite get the distance. Ends up offering a dolly of a catch to Glenn Maxwell who moves a bit to his left from long on. Takes a simple reverse cup catch. India need 6 off 13 balls now.

Over 47.3: FOUR! Effortless! Into the single figures now, then! Ellis serves it on the stumps, on a fullish length, nipping back a bit off the deck. Hardik Pandya positions himself well and holds his shape to loft it over the bowler's head for a boundary. Just a hit away now, is India!

Over 46.6: SIX MORE! CLEARS THE FENCE WITH EASE AGAIN! Too full from Zampa again, on the stumps, Hardik Pandya picks it up nicely and deposits it into the stands behind long off. It traveled more than 100 meters. Just 12 needed to win now off 18 balls remaining.

Over 46.5: SIX! BANG! This time he connects, and connects so well! Zampa offers it right into the wheel house, floated fuller and on off, Hardik Pandya clears his front leg and smashes it over long off for a huge six. He struggles a bit right after playing the shot, but looks fine to continue.

Over 44.5: SIX! Always a risk to bowl Tanveer Sangha at this stage and all Hardik Pandya needed was one ball in his arc and he's dispatched it. Tossed up, straight and just a bit too full, Hardik is able to swing through the line and whacks it a long way over the bowler's head for a biggie.

Over 42.4: OUT! CAUGHT! What was Kohli thinking there? There was already a six in the over and all Kohli needed was to tick things over but Adam Zampa has got the wicket and this could breathe new life into Australia. Zampa tosses the ball on off and it is the wrong'un that Kohli picks but slogs it flat towards long on. The ball goes straight to Ben Dwarshuis who takes a crucial low catch and Virat Kohli has to walk back disappointed after a well-made 84 off 98 balls. Zampa gets his second wicket and breaks this 47-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Over 42.2: SIX! Up and away! KL Rahul is taking the game away from the Aussies now. Tossed up at the stumps, Rahul is early to come down the pitch and holds his shape brilliantly to lift it straight over the bowler's head for a biggie.

Over 41.5: FOUR! Well then, KL Rahul has taken matters into his own hands after that drinks break. Floated up on the stumps, angling in, Rahul advances and swings it away off the bottom part of the bat but well over wide mid on for a boundary.

Over 40.4: FOUR! Powered away! Tossed up on off, KL Rahul skips down the track again and just hammers it straight down the ground, to the right of long off for a boundary. That's a boundary for India after 6.4 overs!

Over 34.6: OUT! TIMBER! Nathan Ellis comes back in and gets the crucial breakthrough for Australia. Ellis stays around the wicket to the left-hander and hits the hard length, bowling it in the channel around off. Axar Patel stays put and looks to swing across the line but the ball skids on and angles in just a bit, sneaking past the willow and hitting the top of the stumps. The on-air commentators were just speaking about how important a player Axar has been in white-ball cricket for India but it seems like the so called commentators' curse has gotten to Axar. He departs for 27 (30) and India now 178/4!

Over 33.6: FOUR! Axar Patel really hurting Australia with these boundaries in between. Tossed up outside off, Axar stays put and just uses those long levers to go after the ball and lofts it over covers, bisecting the two fielders in the deep perfectly for a boundary.

Over 30.5: SIX! Gets inside the line and puts it away! On a length and around off, Axar Patel gets a stride across and gets down on one knee, slogging it stylishly behind the square leg fence for a biggie.

Over 26.2: OUT! BOWLED! Almost as if on cue, a batter gets dropped, but his partner gets dismissed soon after. Zampa breaks the 91-run stand. A skidder, on off stump or just outside off, Shreyas Iyer looks to hit it through the off side but just misses the line. The ball zips through and hits the off stump. Iyer departs for a fantastic 45 (62) and India are 134/3, needing another 131 from 142 balls.

Over 24.5: FOUR! Through the gap! FIFTY NUMBER 74 IN ODIs FOR VIRAT KOHLI! A typical Virat Kohli innings this, another masterclass in the run chase. Dropped shorter and on middle and leg, Virat Kohli uses the depth of the crease and pulls it hard through the vacant deep square leg region for a boundary. The fielder from deep mid-wicket chases it by running across to his right, but the ball has got enough wheels on it. He has paced his innings quite well and is dictating terms at the moment! He raises his bat and soaks in all the applause from the crowd and the Indian dressing room. But, the job is half done, and he will be aiming to bat through.
