Indian Pacer Jasprit Bumrah was the lone fighter among bowlers
That was as enthralling a day of Test cricket as you would see. India started the day strongly, with Rishabh Pant recording his seventh Test century. However, the momentum shifted as India lost their last seven wickets for just 41 runs, allowing England to claw back into the contest.
Jasprit Bumrah provided the breakthrough for India, dismissing Zak Crawley early. Despite this, Ollie Pope and Ben Duckett steadied England, adding a crucial partnership for the second wicket. Duckett eventually fell for 62, but Pope continued, reaching his ninth Test hundred. Joe Root offered support before Bumrah struck again for his third wicket. Harry Brook and Pope saw England through to stumps.
England still trail by 262 runs with seven wickets in hand, setting up an intriguing third day.
